As a Senior Instructor at EVEREST Advisory Group, Marc Rose provides training workshops & practical tools for accelerating the adoption of new hardware and software solutions by mainstream customers. EVEREST clients include Intel Corporation, Agilent Technologies, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, LMC Data Systems, Mentor Graphics, and other multinational companies. He has conducted customer analysis and developed strategic business plans for a wide range of high-tech products and services.

Marc Rose collaborated on his first European program with Eckhardt in 2003. He divides his schedule between teaching EVEREST marketing strategy workshops, and helping product teams develop successful “9-Point Go-to-Market” plans. With a PhD in Computer Science from Ohio State University and 18 years of technology industry experience, Sproule is a recognized expert in setting market strategy for high-tech products and services. She specializes in helping Marketing / R&D executives and their product teams define the most effective marketing strategy for:

New products scheduled for launch in the next 6 to 18 months
Established products that are not currently achieving market share and profit objectives


Sproule's work has consistently focused on understanding how customers adopt and deploy new high-tech solutions. During her time at Bell Labs, she was granted a U.S. patent for research results in telecommunications switching technology.

As a Senior Instructor at EVEREST Advisory Group, Betty Sproule provides technology companies with training workshops and proven methods for successful customer visits, target market strategy, and competitor analysis. EVEREST clients include Intel Corporation, Computer Associates, Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Mentor Graphics, and other multinational companies. She has conducted customer research and developed strategic business plans for a wide range of high-tech products and services including: commercial servers, personal computers, printers, internet software, and electronic components.

Previously, Sproule served on the Computer Science faculty of the University of Texas , where she was awarded the Amoco Prize for Outstanding Teaching.

She divides her schedule between teaching EVEREST marketing strategy workshops, and helping product teams develop successful “9-Point Go-to-Market” plans. Her major role at EVEREST Advisory Group is serving as the Senior Instructor for 6 related workshops:

Michael Eckhardt , founder of EVEREST Advisory Group, is a veteran of Hewlett-Packard Company, PepsiCo Inc., and Price Waterhouse.  A graduate of Harvard Business School and Wall Street Journal Award winner, Eckhardt is a recognized expert in setting market strategy for high-tech products and services. He specializes in helping Marketing / R&D executives and their teams define the most effective marketing strategy for:

As EVEREST's Director of Market Strategy Consulting, Eckhardt provides technology companies with workshops and proven methods for successful customer visits, target market strategy, and competitor analysis. Eckhardt's clients include Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, QAD, Intel Corporation, LMC Data Systems, Mentor Graphics, and numerous other technology companies and start-ups. He has conducted customer needs research on behalf of clients at Motorola, Tech Semiconductor, Philips Electronics, Agilent Technologies, and Ford Electronics. Eckhardt has been a Senior Affiliate of The Chasm Group since 1994.

His work with Hewlett-Packard has frequently contributed to its business units generating profitable growth from current product lines, and increasing the market acceptance of new products. With 18 years of industry and consulting experience, Michael Eckhardt 's help has been sought across many of HP's key business units in Silicon Valley, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. He has had the privilege of working on market strategy for HP's market-leading LaserJet ® and DeskJet ® printers, as well as HP computer systems and services.
